Happy World CardmakingDay!
Today is a great excuse to ditch the housework and make cards. I’ve made quite a few cards in the last week or so, but since some of them are ear-marked for blog hops etc, I can’t post them all. But I can post some cards that will hopefully give you some inspiration.
This first card is one I made last Sunday for my mother-in-law. She lives about three hours away, and has dementia. Hubby was visiting Monday, so I made this card for him to take with him. (The cards tend to cheer her up a bit.)
I wanted this card to be very femine, so added a soft blue background and feathers, and also added some handmade organza flowers. The pearls on the right hand side finished it off.
Here’s another card I made this past week. Very similar to the above card, yet entirely different.
This second card uses the same die set as the first card, but the second largest size instead of the largest. Plus the smallest die as well. (That’s the tiny white one with a small flower in the centre.)
As you can probably tell from the photo, it was very quick and easy to make – from start to finish in less than ten minutes!
For full details of the second card, go here. I will post full details of the first card in the near future. Today is really about celebrating and highlighting World Card Making Day!
