This month’s Double D challenge is White Christmas.
Since we don’t have a white Christmas here in Australia – quite the opposite, we usually swelter on the day – I decided to make a white and gold wedding card instead.
This card is very simple: I have embossed the card base using a Stampin’ Up! embossing folder. I then cut out two squares, one slightly bigger than the other one. I embossed the larger square using a different embossing folder and stuck it down using wet glue.
The smaller square was stamped (and heat embossed in gold) with the “Happy I Do Day” stamp from “Word Play” – a retired SU set. I also added gold ink to the edges by pressing the edges on the stamp pad.
Using dimensionals, I added the stamped square to the topper.
That’s it. A little fiddly, but I love the result.
