It’s that time again, and this month the twist is water-coloring.
I decided it would be nice to make a shaker card, since I hadn’t done that for a while.
I started off by water-coloring a background. I also water-colored a smaller piece of cardstock using the same colors. I cut out the die, and added acetate to the back of it, then used foam tape to form the padding.
I then added a sequin mix (from Stampin Up).
Now, if I’d been smart, I would have cut another piece of water-colored cardstock and coloured it to use behind the die. But no, I had to make things hard for myself. 🙂
So I put the cardbase over the die with the sequins etc, trying to get it centered. I didn’t quite make it, but it’s pretty good. Lastly I added a few neutral sequins.
If I made this card again, or indeed another shaker card, I would definitely put a colored piece behind the die cut, then glue that to the card.

Thank you so much, Irena!
Thanks so much, Verna! The colours are shimmery in real life. Not so much in the photo. 🙁
