Vintage Flower Card

I was at a craft show at the weekend, and picked up a sheet of beautiful images by Maja Designs. (It’s called Enjoying Outdoors – Garden Moments.) One of those images has been used on this card.

I felt the image held its own, so decided to keep the card very simple. I found some dsp that was reasonably plain and of a very similar colour, cut to size and distressed the edges. Then I cut around the image, following the shape of the barely visible watercolour in the background.

To me, this was not an image that should have straight edges, and following the natural lines of the background felt right. I distressed the edges of this image, then glued it down and added a simple tag, using the same background paper.

The greeting is from Inspired by Stamping. I have doctored it, as the words should go one on top of the other.

I am entering this in the Seize the Birthday Challenge – Anything Goes.

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
