Vintage Birthday Wishes

I adore making vintage cards, and this one was no different.

Paper is from Inspired by Stamping – Vintage Digital Paper. The stamp set is also from IBS and is A Lovely Birthday. Flower is also from IBS, seam binding was dyed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and the crochet trim from my stash.

As you can probably see, I cut the paper two different sizes, then layered. What may be harder to see in the photo is that there are two colours of DP.  The base one is pink, and the smaller one is a light brown colour. I distressed each piece, then added to the card.

I also added a pale pink feather to the top right corner, tucked under the smaller piece of DP. I popped the greeting up on dimensionals, and the bow was done as a quadruple bow, then spread out. It was added using Zots, as was the flower.

*Please note that perfect stamping is not a necessity with vintage cards, and actually adds to the vintage look.

This card has been entered in the IBS crochet trim or ribbon challenge.

  1. Lindsay, thank you! I’m sure the feather adds to the soft look of the card. And you know I love my feathers!
