It’s been a while since I posted, and apologise profusely.
Hubby and I spent a week away the first week of January – we went on our first-ever cruise!! It was a short cruise (seven days), but we got to visit Tasmania (two ports – Hobart and Port Arthur) and also Adelaide, then back to Melbourne.
Sadly, while we were waiting for our taxi to pick us up for our trip, we received a call to say our next door neighbour (who fell and broke his hip late December), had died from complications.
We have been helping his widow as much as possible, including walking their dog as she is too frail to do it.
Anyway, back onto happier things!
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, so I thought I would share a card I’ve made. I am entering this card into the JUGS Valentine Challenge as well as the Mod Squad “From the Heart” Challenge.
This is a very simple card, using an embossing folder, Spellbinders Lacy Hearts die, and a tiny flower. The greeting is from Gina K Designs.
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
I love your Valentine design and the beautiful heart die. Also glad you had a nice time on your cruise. And, so lovely of you to help your neighbor out that way. God bless you!
Thanks Verna. Our neighbours have been the best we’ve ever had. We moved in here eight years ago (almost to the day!) and they were there to greet us.
They are lovely people and we were all so sad to have lost Frank. The least I can do is help his wife of 64 years, who is having a hard time with his loss.
Your heart is gorgeous! Love it done in black and it goes so well with the pink. Loving the beautiful embossed background. Thanks for playing along with us at Just Us Girls!
This is very pretty! I love it.
It’s beautiful Cheryl! Love the black and pink together!
Thanks Sharyn. Black and pink are not colour combinations we think about often, but they do go beautifully together. (Brown and pink do as well!)
Thanks so much Joan!
Thanks Marcelle! This one will wing its way over to our soldiers.
That lacy black heart is gorgeous against that embossed pink background! Love the addition of that little pink rose, too. Thanks for playing with us at JUGS!

I think this is very lovely! The black heart is a good choice over that color of pink.
So sorry to hear about your neighbor!
