I mentioned last month that I would be starting early on Valentine’s Day cards due to a request from the flower shop I sell to. This is the first cab off the rank, but certainly won’t be the last.
The heart die is an unbranded one, but works perfectly for this card. The greeting is from Gina K Designs. (I’ve had it for many years!) The stencil (used in the background of the red cardstock) is from Kaisercraft.
I was inspired to make this card by a video Jennifer McGuire made, so rather than explain how I made it, I will add the video below. (The details for this particular card start at around 4:30, but it’s worth watching the entire video.)
I am entering this card in the Stamps and Stencils Challenge – Swirls, Whirls, and Flourishes.
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
Great Valentine design and I love the heart die you used on it. I love the traditional colors too!
Thanks so much, Verna. Yes, I love that heart die too.
What a lovely Valentine card! Love the swirly heart, and the colour on colour stencilling. A lovely crisp finish. I’m sure this will be a big hit with your customers! Thankyou for sharing your gorgeous work with us at Stamps and Stencils. Toni x
