Using Masking for Cards

I don’t use masking a lot in my cards, but decided to do so today.

JUGS are holding a challenge where you must use a one-layer card. I originally thought I’d create a bouquet of flowers, but changed my mind. This is the result.

I used Fabulous Florets from Stampin’ Up! for this card. I began by stamping one flower, then masked it and added another, and so on. This same formula was used top and bottom.

For the greenery I stamped in green, masking all four flowers so they weren’t contaminated.

To colour, I began with a yellow ink (very, very old – had it for many years!), using a finger dauber to add the colour. Then I went over the centres with Regal Rose from SU. Last but not least, I added some stickles.

I did mess up a little with the greenery, so I decided to add my greeting over that area.

This card has been entered in the Just Us Girls (JUGS) one-layer card challenge.

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
