Use Up Your Scrap Paper for this Simple Christmas Card

Cheap and Easy Christmas Card using scrap paper

This card is incredibly easy and uses up your scrap papers.

Start with plain cardstock.  You can use any color you like.  Now take two strips of paper from your stash, or even use gift wrap if you prefer.  These will be glued down on the left of the card (as shown).  The third strip can be whatever color takes your fancy.  This piece will be wider than the other two – it’s almost as wide as the other two put together.  There is no hard and fast rule on size here; you decide what works for you, or go by what is in your stash.

This last piece will be embossed with the Forest Branches embossing folder.

This is a very versatile folder, and one I use a lot.  If you don’t have it already, it could be worth investing in one.  I’ve found it to be very useful for a variety of projects.

Glue paper down as shown, then, taking some festive colored cord, wrap around the cardstock (downwards) twice.  Tie at the front using a simple knot.

Now add some puffy bubble stickers.  I’ve used three on my card, but you can use whatever number or designs take your fancy.  Just don’t overdo it and crowd the card.

That’s it.  All done!!
