I recently showcased a card I was going to use for my hubby’s birthday, which was just a few days ago. Until I saw a video on how to make a Twist and Pop card. (Which I’ll post at the end of this post.)
My friend Marcelle from Marcelle’s Mania made the most gorgeous card using the instructions from the video, so I thought I’d give it a go too. (She hasn’t posted it yet because she doesn’t want her hubby to see it. Same reason I hadn’t posted mine until now.)
Here is the inside of my card:
Front: Collectables from Kaisercraft “Sail Away” Paper pack. Anchors Embossing Folder (also from Kaisercraft). Stamp from Inspired by Stamping.
Inside Top: Collectables from Kaisercraft “Sail Away” Paper pack.
Inside lining: DSP from Kaisercraft “Sail Away” Paper pack.
Stamps Inside: Except for greeting, all stamps used are from Inspired by Stamping. Greeting is from Stamp-It Australia.
Before giving this card to hubby, I cut out a small shape to write on, sponging the edges with a matching colour. I added that to the blank area at the inside bottom
The card must have been pretty good because hubby’s comment when he got the card was “impressive”. It was very challenging and took forever, so I’d like to think so!!
I am entering this card in the Just Us Girls “Word Week” Challenge, which is travel. BTW, I won Chic of the Week for their previous challenge! (Gelli Plate Background card.)
Last but not least, here is the video I promised.
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
Cool card and I bet your hubby loved it too!
Thanks Verna. Yes, he was pretty impressed!

This was quite an undertaking, Cheryl. It is so unique and well done and perfect for the challenge at Just Us Girls. Thanks for entering your card.

Thanks so much, Bobby. It was certainly a LOT of work! (Sometimes it’s just worth it.)

This is so awesome Cheryl! I so have to get my hands on that anchor embossing folder too!

Thanks so much, Karen. It was definitely fiddly, but worth the time spent.
The embossing folder is fairly new (to Kaisercraft) so should be around quite awhile I suspect.
I added you as a member to the FB card making tips. So you should get a message of approval.

Where can I get the die for the twist and pop die please
Hi Susan, It’s not a die. It was all done by hand. I don’t even know if there is a die available.
The video gives full instructions, and there others available on YouTube – you just need to do a search.
