Last year I bought these cute “Holiday” birds and I do love them.

They are from the Dina Wakely Holiday Scribbly Birds set, and I bought them so close to Christmas (at a discounted rate) I didn’t get much of a chance to use them.

This challenge from Merry Monday Christmas Challenge to use a bird on a Christmas card was right up my alley.

I decided I wanted something entirely different for this challenge, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to use music in the images. So I stamped my images out on red and green music paper and cut out my birds and hats. I gave each bird a hat with the opposite colour to their body, just for fun. And perhaps a little contrast.

For the background, I cut out some gold patterned paper using MTF stitched dies, which I glued on top of red cardstock, and then added my birds to it. Lastly, I stamped out the greeting, cut it with a circle die, then ran the edge along my Delicata gold ink pad. I used dimensionals to adhere it to the card.

That’s it. The hardest part about this card was cutting out the birds and hats!

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
