Just Us Girls are back from their break, and I decided to join their challenge. I’m also adding this card to the STAMPlorations Never-ending Anything Goes challenge (where you need to use their stamps and products predominantly), as well as the CUTplorations challenge, where you need to use dies. (All layers were cut using dies.)
According to the JUGS website the theme is new – new baby, new house, new year, new craft supplies (etc) – or however you interpret ‘new’. For CUTplorations, there is an inspiration image, which is shown above.
I have some new stamps I haven’t yet used, and the above – Tropical Drink from STAMPlorations – is one of them. Since one of my friends was having a birthday, I decided to use this stamp to make her card.
This was a pretty simple card to make. I cut out all the layers leaving a small border. I used Crumb Cake cardstock over the Blushing Bride cardstock, and using a white gel pen, made ‘stitches’.
I stamped the image on the top layer, then coloured with Copics. I have never coloured with Copics on kraft or similar before, so it was a bit of an experience!
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
Exactly what (our friend) needs in this heat. I need one of those right now. Super card using those ‘new goodies’ Cheryl. Always nice to see you playing with us at Just Us Girls my Friend!

I love playing JUGS challenges – they are always such a challenge to me!
Great card design and I love how you added some stitches too.
Thanks Verna. I think the stitches finished it off nicely.
