This card was created as a thank you to a friend. She did something very special for me and a group of my friends.
The card was fairly simple to create.
The DP used – both top and bottom – are from Gina K Designs. I added them to a card topper, then added some delicate lace, which was tucked around the back to hide the ends. Then I added red ribbon with a bow. I again tucked the ends behind the card topper. The topper was then added to the card base.
Next I cut out a spiral shape on the Silhouette, using black cardstock. The circle was made using left over DP, then glued to cardstock to strengthen it. It was then stamped with a greeting from Gina K Designs.
The red rose was made using the same ribbon as the bow. The leaves were made also using ribbon – scraps that I had in my stash.
Last but not least, I added the pearl strips as I felt it needed something on the bottom left-hand side.
By changing the greeting, this card would suit many occassions.

What a gorgeous way to say “Thank You” Cheryl! Such a lovely color combination, too! And WOW what a beautiful rose you created!
Gor-geous! Love everything, so pretty and feminine. Especially love the rose that you made, I really would love to learn to make those, it’s just stunning! Wow, you make it sound so easy, but it looks so classically beautiful, that it looks difficult to make. LOL Your friend will no doubt treasure this card. Who wouldn’t?? Beautiful, Cheryl. Love your style!
Great spiral shape, isn’t Silhouette just the best? I love how creative your flower and leaves are, works so perfectly to tie them into your ribbon, make them out of the same thing, great idea! Thank-you for sharing with us at Crafting With Dragonflies!

Lovely card and the red is so opulent and so good. I like the tip with left over ribbon for the leaves – will adopt that one! Thanks so much for playing along at Crafting with Dragonflies for our current challenge – One for the Girls! Susan (DT)
