Hi everyone, it’s Cheryl with you today and I’m sharing a journal page I created using two of the new Stencil, Stamp & Diecut sets.

I started by sprinkling two colours of Alcohol Inks over my journal page:  Baby Blue Golden Age Alcohol Ink, and Bubblegum Pearl Alcohol Ink. Since they’re not being used on synthetic paper, they will react differently. Basically they will splotch where they’re sprinkled, and not spread around as they do on synthetic paper.

Next, using the Wild Waters Pepper Stencil, Stamp & Diecut set, I stamped the image onto my journal page and then using the stencils that come with the blending brush, coloured it. I also stencilled the border from the Box Leaf Waxflowers Stencil, Stamp & Diecut Set to give the page a base. I didn’t worry about the overcolouring on this, as it was meant to be like the ground or dirt. Basically, I was trying to ground the rest of the page.

Using my Precision Stamp Press, I stamped out the main image from the Box Leaf Waxflowers Stencil, Stamp & Diecut twice, then transferred to my All-in-One Magnetic Art Work Station where I did the stenciling. Once that was finished, I cut the images out using the matching dies.

I then placed them on my journal page using Adhesive Foam Rectangles to lift them and give texture to the page.

Last of all I coloured a scrap of paper left over from the stamped images. Then using the same yellow and blue ink pads and the blending brush I’d used on the flowers, stamped the words I wanted from the same set. I cut those out, snipping the corners on an angle, and glued them down.

Journaling is enjoyable to do, and there’s no right and wrong way to do it. I hope you’ll give it a try, but most of all, have fun!
