There’s a sketch challenge running on the Couture Creations Facebook page, and we’ll love for you to join in.
The sketch is a layout, but you can make a card if you prefer. It’s what I did. Here’s the sketch:
Below are the two cards I made using my interpretation of the sketch.
The first card (below) was made using solely the Naughty or Nice design paper collection. I cut it into strips, distressed all the edges and layered them, and then fussy cut the Santa image – also from that collection, then added some pearls to the bottom.
My second card (below) was again made using the Naughty or Nice design paper collection, but this time I made it differently.
I cut three different sizes of the paper, arranging them in a similar way to the sketch. With the top layer, I have also used the upcoming “Card Makers Frames” ovals – these are Cut, Foil and Emboss Dies and look stunning. I love the way I was able to highlight an image from another piece of design paper for this card.
I added some ribbon from my stash to finish it off. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any darker, more muted red ribbon, but I think this still looks nice.
We’d love to see your creations on the Couture Creations Facebook page, so do consider joining in. Click here to go there.
