Birthday Pocket Card

I received my latest stash of goodies from STAMPlorations today, so wanted to play.

I’ve made a few pocket cards lately, and decided to make this “like” a pocket card, except the tag can go all the way through. I cut a strip of hot pink cardstock (from leftover scrap) and added a border of white from a Martha Stewart punch. I added that to the base after embossing the base card with a SU heart EF.

I made the tag from some white scrap I had. Added my stamps using Versamark and white embossing powder, then heat set. I then used distress inks to colour. (Wild Honey, Lemonade, Peacock Feathers.) I was pretty happy with the results, but now I’m not so sure. I think the tag should have been pinks and reds perhaps. I may end up using this tag for something else, and put a new tag in here.

Anyway, lastly I added the ‘birthday’ die, and the gold ribbon on the tag.

Supplies used were:

For the tag:

STAMPlorations Daisy Row – Artsy Borders

STAMPlorations Bloom Happy Stamp Set

For the pocket:

CUTplorations Birthday Die

That’s it – pretty quick and easy.

I am entering this card in the STAMPlorations Never-ending Anything Goes challenge.
