Floral Mother’s Day Card

This was a fairly simple card, but I think, very elegant.

I cut out two different sized squares, the smaller one being coloured the same as the card base and inks used. The larger square is white.

The colour used is SU Calypso Coral, and since I had the matching Seam Binding, I added that across the white card topper before adding my coloured square.

I stamped the white square with the flower bunch from Avant Garden stamp set (SU) – twice. Then added the square to the card topper using dimensional foam.

Lastly I stamped “Happy Mother’s Day” which is from an Inspired by Stamping set I’ve had for some years.

I added the whole thing to a Calypso Coral card base.

And that was it – done.

This design lends itself to a whole range of uses, and since making this card, I’ve used the same design with muted colours for a sympathy card.

I’m entering this card into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Showers and/or Flowers
