I almost forgot today was World Card Making Day. I’ve been colouring with Copics some of the day, and running grandchildren around for the rest.
Since one of my dear friends reminded me, I will share a card with you. I made this card recently for a friend’s birthday. You will know her as she pops in her often. She is Ina from Little Bits of Craft. You may recall I stayed with Ina for a few days, back in June when I was in Queensland for just over a week. (It was nowhere near long enough!)
Anyway, this is the card I made for Ina’s birthday, which was just a few days ago. Now that she has received it, it’s safe for me to post it here.
This is known as a Double Pocket Card and is extremely easy to make. I will post the video I used to learn how to make it at the bottom of this post. (I found this one the easiest to follow.)
Here is the front of my card. This image shows it with the little vintage cards tucked into the pocket at the front.
This next image shows it without the vintage cards.
And this final image is the inside.
The paper I used here is Magnolia Lane (by Ultimate Crafts) and the die cuts are from the same company and are made to go with the papers. The greeting on the front is Gabi’s Hibiscus from 49andMarket.
And here is the video I promised.
That’s it. I hope you enjoy World Cardmaking Day. Make sure you take the time to make at least one card today!
