This card will be going to the oncology ward at the local hospital where I donate cards.
My card was made with the latest Crafty Card Gallery Design Team challenge in mind. Our challenge was to use ‘water’ in our project. Things such as a waterfall, lake, pool, a drink, water colors or coloring – anything we chose that was somehow (even loosely!) related to water.
In case you’re trying to work it out, my card has water coloring. This is one of my favorite things to do on cards. I find coloring very calming, and helps relieve my stress levels. (You may not have noticed before, but a lot of my cards have coloring on them!)
For this card I used Simon Says Stamp clear stamp set “Absolutely Delightful” – for the greeting. (I’ve used this particular stamp quite a bit on my ‘oncology ward’ cards.)
The image for this card is from Great Impressions Stamps. The stamp is “8572 – Sunshine, Happiness, Love Rubber Stamp – Sku: G484” and here’s the direct link to it:

To be honest, I forgot to write down which Distress Ink colors I used, but I believe they were: Broken China, Squeezed Lemonade, and Worn Lipstick. After coloring, and allowing time for the colors to dry, I added two strips of yellow ribbon from ‘scrap’ I had in my stash. I then added a bow, and last but not least, added some Stickles to the centre of each flower on the image.
This was all done on a cardtopper, so that I could wrap the ribbon ends underneath and out of view.
