I have not had the time to join a lot of challenges lately due to spending time updating my blogs with my new book covers, and also with marketing.
So I was very pleased to make a bit of time yesterday to create two cards. (I posted one of them yesterday.) This one is for the Just Us Girls Word Week challenge, which is dogs.
As it happens, I only have two stamp sets that include dogs. Or should I say, a dog. This one, which is from Hampton Art, and was a gift from a friend, and another one from Close to my Heart, which is a silhouette stamp.
I decided the Hampton Art one was much more fun to play with.
The dog with the parachute is one stamp, and the birthday banner is another, but I did a bit of line drawing, and hooked them up together.
I did some very basic colouring with Copics, and was finished. But I wasn’t happy. I felt the background was too bare. So I took the biggest cloud stamp from SU Sky’s the Limit set, and added a few clouds, then sponged some blue in the background to be sure everyone knew it was meant to be the sky. (I stamped the clouds onto some vellum first to make sure I wasn’t going to wreck the whole thing!)
I added the top panel onto some SU Crisp Cantaloupe, and then it was done.
