Using Alcohol Inks for Cards

Hello everyone, it’s Cheryl here with you today, and I’m going to showcase the Couture Creations Alcohol Inks. I’ve also used the Christmas Presents, Deck the Halls Stamp & Colour Outline Stamps.

I had a chance to play with the alcohol inks this week, after a hiatus of more than a year. I have no idea why, since I’ve always loved mix media, including alcohol inks. I guess we get distracted by all the wonderful craft supplies available.

Here are the Alcohol Marker colours I used to colour the presents used on this card:

For this first card, I wanted to show you the texture you can create using alcohol inks, and an alcohol ink tool.

My second card today uses acetate with the alcohol inks. Until recently, I had no idea you could even do this. But you can, and you can create some stunning cards with it. Here’s a close up.

Here are the Alcohol Marker colours I used to colour the presents used on this card:

I have made a video to show you the techniques I used for creating the backgrounds on these two cards. They are very simple to do, and it’s fun playing. Remember, you will get different results everytime you sit down to play, so your backgrounds will always be unique!
