This month’s Theme and Sketch challenge at STAMPlorations is Stamps & Wings OR you could use the sketch. I decided to combine the two.
I decided to make my own background paper using STAMPlorations Trendy Spring Blooms stamp set, which I got in my last Stamp Club order. This is a two-step stamp set, and it is gorgeous!
I used SU Calypso Coral as my main colour, with Jet Black Archival ink as the contrasting colour. I stamped my background all over, the using wavy dies (or postage stamp dies as one of my friends says), I cut out the second large die in Calypso Coral.
The next part had me a bit stumped. First off I cut out a smaller sized die in white. I wasn’t happy with it. Then I cut it out in black. Still wasn’t sure. So I cut out the butterfly in Calypso Coral and tried it on both. Black was definitely the goer.
Before adding the black die cut, I stamped the greeting (using Versamark and white embossing powder), which is from STAMPlorations Bloom Happy stamp set. (I find myself reaching for this set a LOT.)
Last of all I added the butterfly and some black pearls.
I am adding this card to the following challenges:
April Theme and Sketch challenge at STAMPlorations
STAMPlorations Never-Ending Anything Goes challenge
STAMPlorations Things with Wings Linky Party Challenge

I love your card. Great sketch pattern and I love those colors. My gift certificate was applied towards that stamp and die set. I heard it is on it’s way so maybe I can play with mine soon too.
Thanks Verna. I’m sure you’ll love the stamp set!
Great background:) Thanks for playing at STAMPlorations!
Thanks Laura!
Oooh! LOVE your card! Yep, the black panel was the ticket! Thanks for joining in at STAMPlorations Theme & Sketch challenge!
