Stencilled Christmas

This was a very simple card.

Using green cardstock as a base, I used texture paste to stencil the background using a Tim Holtz Christmas stencil I bought a couple of years ago. (I think it’s still available, but not positive.)

The base cardstock and the cardstock used for the tag is Real Red from SU. I white heat embossed a greeting from a retired SU set.

One tip I would give for this card it to make sure your texture paste is completely dry before adding the tag. I set mine aside in a sunny area of my work table, and left it for the best part of the day before going back to it.

I am entering this card in the 52 (Christmas) Card Throwdown challenge “November Colours” which requires Lime Green and Real Red, as well as the Double D “Traditional Colours” challenge.

Here’s another version of this card I made while I had my texture paste and other goodies out. It’s almost the same but slightly different in its placement, plus the greeting is different.
