It’s Trend Week at Just Us Girls, and I thought I’d share this tag I made while in Queensland. (It seems so long ago now.)
To get that lovely clean band across the middle, I laid a piece of cardstock where I wanted the white to show, and sponged the entire piece with three different colours (sorry, I can’t remember what they were, but they were from the new range of Distress Inks). Then while the band was still in place, I stamped the single flower and butterfly on that band, then stamped over the rest of the tag, using the band for overlapping.
*All stamps used were from Kaszazz.
When finished, the butterfly and flower were cut out. On the white section, another single flower was stamped, as well as the greeting.
Lastly, the coloured flower and butterfly were placed, and some gemstones added.
I’m not sure yet what I’ll do with the tag – either use it as is, or add it to a cardbase.
This tag is being entered in the Just Us Girls Trend Week – Sponging challenge.

Wonderful design on your tag and I love the colors. It is gorgeous.
Thanks so much, Verna!
Beautifully sponged tag….love the colors! Thanks for playing along with us at Just Us Girls!
Thanks Sharyn. It was one of those rare occasions where my sponging wasn’t too uneven!!
