Shabby Chic Using Faux Silk Technique

If you’ve been with me a while you’ll know I love to make vintage and shabby chic cards. So when Inspired by Stamping announced the WHW #123 Faux Silk challenge, I knew I had to join in!

Click on the above link to learn how to do the technique.

The background paper used here is from the IBS Vintage Digital papers. Instead of white tissue paper, I’ve used pink. This came about because – believe it or not – I couldn’t buy any white!

But you know what?  I love the results of this!

The greeting and main frame are from the Small Fancy Label 18 set, and I’ve added the frame from the Vintage Pieces set right behind it. (This has given it a totally different look!)

I then added ribbon and a bow from my stash, and the gorgeous flowers, which all came from IBS.

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
