Although I’ve made Shabby Chic cards before, they’ve never been anything like this.
I love the style, and the layout of this card is wonderful. (It’s not my design, it’s one shown in the class.)
In my usual waye, I have changed things around a bit, so this card is more unique.
The papers are from my stash, and the stamp is from Enjoy the Sunshine, from Gina K Designs. (It’s one of my most-used sets!)
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
Oh, Cheryl, this is gorgeous! Lovely and so feminine. Is that a fabric flower? It is wonderful. You are so talented with Shabby Chic, as well as your Vintage style. I consider them cousins, and I love them. I just can’t seem to master the look. Hmmm. I need to learn some more of those techniques first, perhaps. Isn’t that weird? Oh well, I can always CASE, LOL Just kidding. Yeah, your card IS unique, I liked the Class card as well. Another gal who did something outside her comfort zone. Love yours!
Thanks Anna! I made the flower using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die. I used leftover pattern paper from the background, but it was almost plain except for some light swirls. I also some light blue netting. Then I added a Kaisercraft Flower to the middle.
Sorry, I should have noted that above.
I don’t find it weird that you can’t master Vintage or Shabby Chic. I had trouble with them until I did a face-to-face class. Then I began to understand the style.
