This week JUGS has a colour challenge. When I saw the colours I wasn’t going to join in, but I do like being taken out of my comfort zone, so decided to go ahead.
As you can see, those colours coordinate very well, and I’m especially pleased with the resulting card.
The bird is from Dina Wakley Scribbly Holiday Birds. I bought this set last Christmas but have used it a few times as a ‘regular’ bird. I like to stretch my craft supplies when I can.
I coloured the bird with pencils, which is also something I don’t normally do. Copics is my normal choice of coloring medium.
The balloon die was a freebie in a magazine – I drew in the strings by hand – and the embossing folder is from Kaisercraft. I only bought it a few weeks back.
The matting was cut using My Favourite Things stitched dies, and the greeting is from Inspired by Stamping Kids Fun.
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
Oh there’s that cute bird that’s sitting in my play station. He’s so cute. Lovely layout Cheryl.

Hahahaha!! Thanks Ina. It was fun to make.
That is the cutest card. Someone is going to be smiling big time when they get it from you.
Fun card and great use of the challenge colors. Thanks for playing along with us at Just Us Girls!
Thanks Verna. It is certainly a cheerful card. Change the greeting, and you could have pick-me-up or get well card.
Thanks so much, Sharyn. I love how fun it is.
Hi Cheryl, It was nice to see your fabulous work in our gallery at JUGS! Love that sweet owl…he appears to be looking right at me. Love how you colored him!
