Pretty Poppies

Today’s card came about because I was bored (can’t do much with a broken ankle), so I got out some paints and a brayer and started playing.

I have used the colour palette from Shopping our Stash, and incorporated “Think Spring” into the card for the Double D Challenge.

There’s not much to say about this card, except I laid down all the colours I wanted to use, then dried them off. I stamped with retired SU set Pleasant Poppies and set aside to dry.

I then coloured another strip of cardstock with some complementary colours – always keeping in mind the colour palette – and when it was dry, stamped the greeting from Apothecary Art, another retired SU set.

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!

  1. This is truly a simple and elegant card, Cheryl! The background colors are beautiful with the black stamped image. Thanks for joining the Double D, “Think Spring” Challenge!

  2. Sometimes I am compelled to zoom in, and I was here, and was NOT disappointed!– the brayered ink is so lovely, and that poppy stamp looks meant-to-be in that background. Thank you for sharing at SOS again this week.
