Christmas is getting too close for comfort lately, so I’ve been thinking more and more about making Christmas cards. I’ve made a small handful, but I need to start getting really serious. I follow a couple of Christmas card challenge sites, but rarely join in, so decided I’d best make more of an effort.
The current challenge at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge is plaid.
It’s many years since I used plaid, and I checked all my Christmas papers, and not one skerrick of plaid paper. Unbelievable.
So I went looking and found some free digi papers on Pinterest. (I’ve now set up a board if you’re interested. I’ll continue to add to the board as I find more.)
I found one that was an almost perfect match for Stampin’ Up! Real Red, so that’s the one I went for.
The stamps used on this card are both from retired SU sets. The tree is from Special Season, and the greeting is from Contempo Christmas.
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
Love your red tree! I too used digital paper. Great plaid!
What a beautiful card and I am so glad you found resources to get your pattern paper. I am following your board too. In an emergency if you have colored ink this is a real life saver. Thanks.
Woo! That red tree is fabulous. I would have never thought of digi paper to save the day. You go!
Your red tree is eye-catching. Good matching with the background paper.
Thank you all very much for your lovely comments. I’ve actually now got the urge to make more Christmas cards, and made three today. YAY!
So pretty! Love that red tree!!! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Merry Monday.
Beautiful christmas card Cheryl!
