Patchwork Card

Yesterday I made five cards using some sheets of 12×12 design paper I’ve had for a couple of years. I uncovered it in a recent short-lived clean up of my craft room.

I had lots of bits and pieces left over, but all tiny bits too small to do anything with. Today I was tidying up my craft room, and took another look at those scraps.

I decided to cut them into even sized strips and make a card. I used both the backs and fronts of the dsp.

After gluing all the pieces onto a card topper, I embossed them.

Here is the result.

The greeting is from Wetlands (a Stampin’ Up! stamp set), and the card it’s stamped on is also scrap.

I’m pretty happy with how this turned out!

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!

  1. I love that look and with the embossing you really added lots of texture. A great card design!
