Thanks to a dear friend, I have recently become addicted to owl cards.
This was a very simple card. White cardbase, then a black mat. The white topper was embossed with Divine Swirls to about the three quarter mark, then scored twice.
The “Love You” stamp is from the Inspired by Stamping “Just Because” stamp set, and the owls are from Stampin’ Up! (Had them for several years but barely used!)
The white heart was cut with a heart die in my stash, then embossed with the “Tiny Hearts” EF. The black heart was made with a Silhouette cut-file. (Scallop Heart – Design #53779)
The branch was just drawn free-hand on a piece of scrap, then cut. The leaves are from my stash.
The little red hearts were left over from another project. (I had to ink up the black one.) I added Glossy Accents on the top of each heart.
This card has been added to the Inspired by Stamping Customer Gallery for February.

Thanks Lindsay! The IBS customer gallery for February is now live.
Thanks Karen. I had fun making it, except that the hearts didn’t really fit together. (You can probably see that.) But I’m still pretty happy with it.
That is so cute. I love owls too. I still need to make Valentines for the shutins, but I am still debating what design I will make for them. Owls might be a good idea too!
Thanks Verna. I am loving these owls, and wonder why I hadn’t used them much before. I think this is only the second or third time I’ve used that stamp – and I’ve had it at least two years!
It’s just too cute!!! LOVE the owls and the fabulous simple color scheme! Thanks for joining us at IBS! HUGS and hope you have a great rest of the week! 🙂 Mynn xx

Thanks so much, Mynnette! Sometimes less is more, and in this case, I do believe that’s correct.
Cheryl, this is absolutely adorable. I love it. I’m a bit partial to those owls myself!

Thanks so much, Susan. I’m already itching to make more owl cards, but alas, no time at the moment!
Super cute owls and they are so HOT right now…..but anytime I see them they make me smile! We actually have one living in our backyard–somewhere–we have never seen it but hear it all the time, pretty cool. And they have spotted several snowy owls on the Cape, beautiful to look at, just like your card! Well done!
