Nikita and I learned a new technique in the Summer Card Camp 2. How to make splots!
It’s a really fun technique, and the results are great! Above is her card, which I’ll be uploading to the kid’s gallery of the card camp shortly.
Greeting is from the Ahoy, Matey stamp set, which is from Inspired by Stamping.
Nikita made this card from start to finish, totally by herself, as she does with the majority of her cards. She is very talented, and learns very quickly!
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
Excellent Cheryl! Well done Nakita!!
BEAUTIFUL job! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Well done! Hugs, Joanna
AHA, THis is so cool! When that guest artist showed that “tip” with the daubers, I thought wow, wouldn’t it be great to just go for it? Yep, Nikita, you really did it, and quite an excellent job of it, also. The color choices are fabulous! I love that you used that Fancy Tag for the sentiment. Goes together like jeans, and anything and everything! LOL
Well, I am definitely going to get some of those daubers, they look like FUN! Thanks for sharing Nikita! Fabulous!
Anna, so sorry, I missed your comment earlier.
This card was made using Distress Stains. They have the same type of lid/applicator as the Acrylic Paints, and the result is the same.
I’ve used this a few times now, but mostly one or two splots on a card. It adds an interesting element.
