Inspirational Card

Every now and then I make inspirational cards – there are so many beautiful quotes and sentiments around. The Inspired by Stamping “Amazing Inspirations” set caught my eye.  It has some beautiful quotes and sentiments, and I knew I had to get it.

If you’ve been with me for a while, you’ll know I regularly make cards for community groups as well as our soldiers overseas. This card will go to one of those groups.

The sentiment (as mentioned above) is from Inspired by Stamping. The frame around it is from the Beautiful Ovals set, also from Inspired by Stamping, and this is my first time using it. They have been framed with Spellbinders Labels 20 (at least I believe that’s what it is), and sponged with Antique Linen distress ink.

The background paper is from my stash. It’s from “The Romantic Garden” collection, by Meg’s Garden.

I have lifted the greeting/label up on dimensionals after adding some ruffled sheer ribbon. (It’s hard to see in the photo. If you click on the image, it will enlarge and is easier to see.)

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!

  2. Mynnette, thanks so much – you made my day!

I am off to House of Cards to check out the challenge there. Thanks!

  3. Thanks so much, Marianne, but honestly, this truly was a quick and easy card to make. I do admit it doesn’t seem that way, but that’s the beauty of a card like this – it looks complicated, yet it’s not.

  4. Thanks so much, Susan! I have a ton of papers in my stash, but rarely use them. I decided this year that had to change.

Really having to force myself to use them!! (Sad, I know.)

  5. Margaret, thanks for stopping by! I checked out your card – amazing. Same paper, two totally different cards!
