You probably already know I’ve been obsessing over making my own flowers lately.
I got tired of looking around to buy the ‘perfect’ flower for the cards I was making, but I also try to make my cards from scratch where possible.
Anyway, I came across this fantastic tutorial on Card-Making-Magic the other day. I’ve played around with them since, and they are brilliant.
Watch the video to see how easy it is:
You can also read the step by step instructions here, but I’m one of those people who prefers videos, so I’ve included that as well.
I have now made several flowers in the larger size as can be seen in the video, but I’ve also made some teensy tiny ones as well. They are much more fiddly, but worth the effort. I also found some ‘stamens’ to add to the center of the flowers to make them more authentic. (You can see this in the video as well.)
Believe it or not, I bought them in the cake decorating section of a large craft store!
My card is not finished yet, but when it is, I will upload a photo for you.
UPDATE: Below is a close-up image of the small flowers I created for my card.
To see the complete card, click here. (For the small flowers, I used a circle of approx one and a half inches, or 38mm, and used three circles for each flower.)
You seem to be an expert in this field, great articles and keep up the good work, my buddy recommended me it.
This is the exact info. i need, thanks dude.
