I wanted to do the “His” card from Day Five, but until now hadn’t had the opportunity. So here it is!
Mine is quite a bit different from the class example. I don’t have a ‘stripes’ background stamp, and didn’t have anything else that would work. I did try using another stamp, but it didn’t work with the black matting behind anchor stamp. It just blended in.
So I decided to try using the Wainscott technique. I used my scoring pad to make the scorelines, then used white chalk ink to colour it. The ship wheel and stars were made on my Silhouette Cameo, the card is black cardstock I had on hand, and both the anchor image and the greeting are from Gina K Designs True Love stamp set.
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
I don’t know what the original looks like, but WOW do I love this card. Always looking for masculine cards and this is a great one!

Well, i think this card turned out perfectly….
Thanks Susan, I’m pretty darned happy with it. The original was really good – I loved it, but didn’t have the same stamps to make it the same. So using what I did have, I put my own spin on it.
Thanks Kylie. It was really easy to do. My hubby loved it, so that’s a plus. He’s usually pretty neutral about my cards – just like most guys!
