Here’s a cute and fun Valentine’s Day card I made.
The stamp set used here is “Just So Hippy” which is a retired set from Gina K Designs.
I stamped the ape with Vintage Photo distress ink, then the heart shaped balloon with red Stampin Up ink. Using a red pen, I drew a line from the heart to the ape’s hand, to make it look like a balloon.
Inside the ‘balloon’ I stamped the tiny “love you” then went around the edges of heart with Stardust Stickles.
The three hearts you see in the ape’s hand (behind his back) are also from that set. I stamped them one on top of the other, then went over the top of each heart with Glossy Accents. The banner was made with a scrap of red paper from my stash, and the image stamped with white ‘chalk’ ink.
I rounded the corners of my topper, then added it to my cardstock. To make it stand out more, I could have added red cardstock that matched the banner.
*I did think about colouring the ape, but I felt it would be overkill. This was meant to be a fairly CAS card, so colouring would have pushed it over the top.
Very cute. Love the CAS look

Love this card Cheryl…it’s adorable. I’ve been trying really hard to word on CAS cards. They are not easy for me…so I thank you very much for the inspiration!
