I’ve been playing around with my Go Press and Foil again, and decided to make three birthday cards using the same hot foil stamp die. (Sweet Birthday Wishes by Ultimate Crafts)
All three cards use Kaisercraft “Wildflower” design paper. The butterflies are from my stash, and I believe are from Prima (but don’t quote me on that). The pink flower I believe is from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the little white flower on the last card is also from my stash, but I have no idea where it’s from as I’ve had it in my stash for literally years.
I learned a little trick as I’ve been playing with my Go Press and Foil machine over the past week or so. When you are foiling to die-cut a tag (as per the above card) do the die-cutting last. Especially if there is faux stitching. What I’ve found is the foil will stick to that stitching.
I die cut this one last, and it is clean around the edges. The ones I did the other way around, all have little bits of foil here and there.
I’m not sure why, but this second card came out a little bit messy on the smaller words. All I can think is that I did handle the paper quite a bit, tearing it down to the size I needed.
Isn’t that butterfly just stunning?
I love the simplicity of this last card, but in hindsight, a different colour (perhaps purple) would have shown up better. It’s actually not too bad in real life; it is easier to read. The background uses a Kaisercraft embossing folder (Roses), and is one of my favourites.
I have two more foiled toppers sitting on my craft table, waiting for me to do something with them!
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing some more of my foiling creations, as much as I enjoyed making them.

Gorgeous Cheryl. Love the special touch the foiling adds.
Thanks so much, Linda!
All are absolutely beautiful! Such wonderful floral cards and the foiling really adds an elegant touch.

Thanks so much, Verna. Yes, I agree – the foiling adds a whole new dimension.
