Here’s a card I made for my daughter’s birthday recently.
It was quite simple, and yet, rather elegant.
I began with light mauve cardstock. I embossed white cardstock and then used chalk to lightly colour it. I trimmed the embossed sheet down and laid it on darker mauve/purple cardstock. I then cut out a shape with Spellbinders (any shape would work) and stamped it with an Inspired by Stamping greeting – this one is Fancy Circles. This was lightly coloured with the same chalk as the embossed piece.
All other images are from Gina K Designs.
I stamped off the butterfly before stamping on the Spellbinders shape. The other butterfly was stamped, coloured, and then cut out and attached with a glue dot. Across the card I used the butterflies from Year of Borders – also Gina K Designs. As can be seen, this was layered on matching purple cardstock. A matching ribbon was added.
That’s it. A very simple, yet effective card.
