Feminine Birthday Card

I am really happy with the way this card turned out. It was made for a friend’s birthday, but it turns out I sent it a whole month early!!! 🙂  (At least it won’t be late.)

The Birthday die is from CUTplorations, and has been inlaid. The word “happy” was from a freebie stamp set in a magazine.

I stamped out each of the flowers – Trendy Spring Blooms from STAMPlorations – on the cardstock, then stamped the top layer using their coordinating stamps using a darker colour and cut them out with the coordinating dies. Then I stamped the leaves and die cut them and added to the card. (Didn’t stamp them first.)

Using my Tim Holtz Distress Markers, I used the special spritzer to make dots from the distress markers, and that was it. I added it to Real Red cardstock, and it was done.

I am adding this card to the following challenges:

CUTplorations May Challenge (Inspirational Photo)

STAMPlorations May CAS Challenge – Feminine Colours

STAMPlorations Anything Goes Challenge

Double D Red White Blue Challenge

  1. hahaha, nope won’t be late at all! It’s a FUN card! Love the big bold birthday and all of your little splatters–that’s one of my favorite techniques–especially when I have a smudge or something–shhhh. 🙂 The cluster of pretty flowers in the corner is lovely! Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Double D Challenge Blog, Donna, DT Member.

  2. Such a pretty cluster of die cut blooms! Your friend is sure to like this. I’m impressed that you’re early. I’m nearly always late getting my cards out! Thanks for joining us at CUTplorations.
