Enchanted Dreams Card

I adore working with Lavinia Stamps, as you may already know. I make a lot of them every month, although most don’t make it onto this blog. (Simply because I can’t post everything I make – on average I make 30-40 cards per month minimum!)

The above card was made for two challenges –

Lavinia Stamps monthly challenge

Just Us Girls Photo Challenge

Lavinia’s theme was Autumn Colours (Fall), and frankly, that’s how I interpreted the JUGS photo inspiration as well. I don’t own any pumpkin stamps whatsoever, and I don’t think I have any sunflowers either. So autumn colours it was!

All the stamps used on this card are from Lavinia (that’s part of the criteria for their challenges). I’ve used distress inks for the background, lightly sponged and graduated in colour.

The ‘ground’ and little hill were made by tearing some paper to use as a template, then sponging. I coloured the Hanging Lanterns using one of the colours used in the background (Worn Lipstick), but it looks different because of the techniques used – one was sponging, one was distress markers. I also coloured the mushrooms using distress markers. I used a white gel pen on each to give some highlights.

The Lavinia stamps used are:

Enchanted Dreams
Mini Dragon
Large Mushrooms
Trailing Ivy
Hanging Lanterns

  1. Oh, you have used Lavinia stamps…..LOVE them!!! I have a few, they are so charming and whimsical. Your card is amazing, love the fall colors and sponging. And it must be hard to make a fall card when it’s spring there…..well done. Great take on the challenge, thanks so much for playing along with us this week over at Just Us Girls!!!!

  2. Thanks so much, Judy! The Enchanted Dreams stamp (fairy riding a giant snail!) is my latest addition and I was itching to use it. It was lovely when the opportunity arose.

Yes, it is Spring here – flowers and blossom blooming everywhere!
