Here’s a very easy Christmas card to start off the season.
You’ll need a Cuttlebug (or similar) die cut machine to make exactly this card, or you can improvise. If you don’t have a die cut machine, buy some embossed or raised pattern scrapbook paper or even gift wrap, and use that instead, altering the instructions where required.
I’ve used white card stock, but you can choose any color that works for you. It doesn’t matter whether your card opens at the bottom or the side. Your choice.
Using your Cuttlebug, take the ‘star’ embossing folder and emboss three quarters of the way down the card. Glue gold ribbon all the way across the star embossing, then add a tree cut from gold card stock. In this instance I’ve wrapped fine gold thread around the tree. It enhances the effect, but isn’t mandatory. You could even use a different color thread to get a totally different result.
I’ve then glued the tree to the ribbon.
On the bottom quarter of the card, using VersaMark and gold embossing powder, I’ve added a Christmas greeting.
*As always, make changes to color schemes and stamps etc, to make this card uniquely yours.
