This card was made for the Crafty Card Gallery as part of my DT duties! This month our theme is thankful, so could be a thank you or Thanksgiving card. Since we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia, I decided to make it a thank you card. That way I could also use this card to send off to the oncology ward.
Start by covering a card topper with Inkssentials Glue ‘n Seal and put aside to dry (few minutes). Once dry, spray with Calypso Teal, and Bubblegum Pink Dylusions, alternating colours. Don’t be too heavy-handed with the sprays.
While still wet, lightly dab with paper towel then allow to dry completely.
Add crochet lace and ¼” Satin Ribbon to card topper using double-sided tape, tuck underneath. Add topper to cardbase using dimensionals. (Optional)
Stamp greeting and frame (Inspired by Stamping “Small Fancy Label 18” stamp set) with Jet Black Archival Ink, then fussy cut. Sponge edges of frame with Spun Sugar Distress Ink, then add to topper with dimensionals.
Thanks it, all done!
This card has been entered in the IBS crochet trim or ribbon challenge.

Cheryl, I love that gorgeous background you created for your card. Really beautiful colors. Nicely done!

Thanks so much, Barbara! It’s a fairly new technique for me, but I’m happy with the way it turned out.
The background on this card is gorgeous Cheryl! And what’s this, I better catch up on the chatter, congrats on being a DT for Crafty Card Gallery!

Karen, thanks so much. I’ve been a DT member for Crafty Card Gallery for quite a while now. Maybe a year? We only post once a month at most.
Marcelle, thanks. I bought this set in my last purchase, which arrived just last week. So I’ve been playing around with it! I can see I’ll get a lot of use from it.
Thanks so much, Teresa. The best thing about making your own background is they will be unique every time.
This is lovely Cheryl. I adore the colors that you used too. Very pretty. Hugs, Joanna
Thanks so much, Joanna!
