I wanted to give this card a bit of a vintage look, so I started with some distressed background paper. I then took another background paper and stamped it with one of my favourites – the dove Christmas tree, which I’ve had for many years. It is called “Dove Tree” and is from Stamp It.
I then die cut several pieces of branches in both green and white and added them to the base of the tree. I did this using the Tim Holtz Christmas Greenery die set. When making my bow I also added some twine to the seam binding, and made a bow using both. I did a double bow for extra dimension.
Lastly I added a few pearls, and that was it. Done.
I am entering this in the Happy Little Stampers June Christmas Challenge.
*Just a little FYI – I am going interstate in a couple of days (for nearly two weeks), spending time with my dear friend Ina from Little Bits of Craft, up in sunny Queensland. Please forgive me for not responding to your comments right away.

Love your “Tree”
Beautiful card and I love how you added all the die cut greenery and that big, big ribbon bowl.

I love the beautiful dove card and many others you have shown. Where do you get your inspiration and some of the beautiful stamps?
How is the foot/leg?
Thank you so much Joyce, Verna, and Linda.
Linda, inspiration comes from everywhere. Sometimes when the mojo is lacking, I pop over to Pinterest to help kick start my creativity. Other times I can just look at a stamp or die cuts and inspiration is overflowing.
The ankle is doing well. Thanks for asking. Still a bit of swelling, but pretty good in the scheme of things.
Love that Dove Christmas Tree Cheryl and the gorgeous bow. Lovely to meet you at the Papercraft Expo yesterday – have fun crafting with Ina.
Thanks so much Linda. It was wonderful meeting you too! Ina and I had a great time.
This is wonderful Cheryl. I love your Dov-shaped tree, and the distressed edges give it such a feeling of warmth. Thanks so much for playing with us at Happy Little Stampers June Christmas Challenge.
Thanks so much, Stephanie!
