It is on! I have begun in full force to make my Christmas cards.
I’ve made a few here and there throughout the year, but only a small handful. This week I’ve made quite a few. This is my favorite so far:
I used a mask to make a circle of script (under the star) – in grey Stazon as I didn’t want it to be too dark – and for this I used a Heartfelt Creations stamp. The ‘dots’ are Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Grunge, and the greeting is also from Stampin’ Up! but from Festival of Trees. The star is recycled cardboard from some packaging that was in our recycle bin. I striped the top layer off it to show the corrugation.
If I had some gold acrylic paint I would have draped a little over the top here and there.
Next time I would use gold embossing powder instead of gold ink as I feel it would stand out more.
Full disclosure: I found an image on Pinterest and changed it up. Mine looks very different to the original, which can be seen here.
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
Absolutely LOVE this card Cheryl.
Very effective Cheryl! Beloved it!
Thanks Ina! I had fun making it. In fact, I made three of them!
Thanks Lindsay!
Very elegant looking with all that gold. I really can see why you consider that your favorite as it is a beauty!
Thanks Verna. I think all the different elements make it so lovely.
