Christmas Stamps for All Occassions

Our assignment this time was to use a Christmas or Holiday stamp on a card for another occassion.

This really got me thinking, because most of my Christmas stamps are very specific.  I had to rummage through my stamps before I came across the star stamp. I bought this stamp after the Holiday Card Workshop I took, almost from Online Card Class.

It’s a great stamp, but I don’t feel I did it justice. I used distress markers, and I think perhaps they were a bit flat for this card. Black embossing powder may also have made a difference.

The greetings are from Gina K Designs.

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!

  1. On the contrary my dear! I think the silver embossing is exquisite on this card. Looks like silver wire. And the distress inks are perfect with the watercolor look. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card!! Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. Love it!!! Just as it is! The pastelly colors go wonderful with the stained glass look. Really love the colors you used. Love the whole card!

  3. Oh my gosh, and here I was thinking this is probably the worst card I made all year!

Judy and Gabriele, thanks for lifting my spirits somewhat!!!

  4. Cheryl, I loved this card at first sight. I didn’t see any silver embossing but it looks white to me and I still love it, colours look like stained glass, all in all this is my fave so far… (working backwards through your pages)

  5. Hi Karen, it is white embossing powder. Black may have been better, or even silver.

It’s so strange – I really don’t like the star on this card at all. Generally I love this stamp, but not this time.

    Thanks for stopping by!
