I had fully intended to enter the Shop Our Stash Mardi Gras challenge days ago, then it went out of my head. I finally remembered again today, with only a day to go!
I stamped this “Tropical Drink” image from STAMPlorations using Jet Black Archival ink, then coloured using shimmery watercolours.
When I finished I wasn’t entirely happy as the card seemed rather bare, but I felt adding a greeting would take away from the image. Instead I decided to go around the edges with Dried Marigold Distress Ink, using one of the stamps from Mixed Media Grunge set from STAMPlorations.
I’m pretty happy with the results. (Click the photo for a bigger image.)
I am also entering this card into the STAMPlorations Never-Ending Anything Goes challenge.
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
A super simple and very effective card Cheryl. Lucky I have had my afternoon alcohol drink (lemon lime and bitters) as this looks so inviting.

Thanks so much, Ina. It has lots of sparkle in real life, almost like a real drink!
Great CAS design to mark a celebration! Wonderful coloring too. I hope you are beginning to feel better as well.

Thanks everyone for all your lovely comments!
Mmm, my mouth is watering! Love that stamp! I have it, too, but I never thought if using sparkles (watercolor or other) for it, smartie! And how cool is that grunge stamp?– I definitely zoomed in for a closer look! Excellent grungy effect… reminds me of a little outdoor restaurant/bar in Hawaii😄
Thanks so much, Mimi. I am a BIG fan of grunge stamps, and use them a lot!!
I love my shimmery watercolours. They are great for so many things.
