CAS Stencil Card

I had a *really* busy household over the Easter long weekend – twelve people in all, including eight children. One of those was a three-year-old!!

My daughter and her family come to stay every Easter (and Christmas) as they live in the country, and it’s the main time I get to see them. This time she also had two foster children with her, so our usual ten people became twelve. It’s amazing how much difference two kids can make!!

I was pretty stressed by the time they went home, so I’ve been playing in my craft room, trying to de-stress. Over the next week or so, you’ll most likely see some of my creations!!

Okay, so onto today’s card.

A friend pointed out these challenges to me, so I decided to make a card for them. I combined the two challenges in the one card, simply because I could. 🙂

The AAA Cards challenge had to include a stencil, and had to be CAS. I used STAMPlorations Happy Flowers stencil for the main image. (FYI, STAMPlorations are sponsoring this challenge.) I used Calypso Coral SU for the main flowers, with Mowed Green distress ink for the stems, and Summer Sun SU (retired) for the dots in the background.

I used some Jet Black ink for the centres of the flowers.

The colours I’ve used are for the Color Throwdown Challenge. This is another challenge I haven’t entered before.

The greeting is also from STAMPlorations, and is from the Bloom Happy Stamp Set.

I mounted the card topper onto Calypso Coral cardstock.

I’m also entering this card in the STAMPlorations Never-Ending Anything Goes Challenge.

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!

  1. Super choice of stencil, obviously one of my favourites! Fabulous card Cheryl and welcome to AAA Cards challenges. Thanks for playing and hope to see you link up again soon.

  2. Thanks so much Jane! Had to go over and check what you meant about it being one of your favourite stencils. I try not to look at the DT creations until I’ve made my own card.

Now I know what you meant. Great card!
