Card with Glitter Paper

Before I get into today’s post, I wanted to let you know my new book The Cowboy’s Sweetheart, which I mentioned a couple of weeks back, has been released. I have it on a release special of just 99c. If you are interested, go here to purchase on whichever platform you prefer.

Today’s card has been made for the Double D ‘glitter, glitter, glitter’ challenge, where you must use glitter of whatever format you prefer. I decided on glitter paper, and have used it with my fairly new stamp set “Beautiful You” from Stampin Up.

For this card, I decided to go with a black and white theme, starting with a black cardbase. I added a piece of striped black and white dsp, then a strip of silver glitter paper. I cut a rectangle using my dies, then stamped the woman image onto it. I then stamped it again onto matching dsp, and cut out the dress and hat and glued them into the appropriate places.

Before sticking down the rectangle, I added half of a paper doily behind it.

I then stamped the greeting (from the same set) and cut fish-tail ends, then glued it down. I added some rhinestones, and that was it.

Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
