Today’s Mother’s Day card is again quite simple. I’ve used this same design for birthdays as well.
This card uses a base, a square of white, then a smaller square of the same colour as the base.
I had just a small amount of white peeking out, as can be seen above.
I start off by stamping my greeting, then glue down the two squares on an angle, white first, then the contrasting colour. I added some cheesecloth around the two top corners of the square, then added flowers. *I always use a glue gun to ensure the flowers are secure.
Then I added a white butterfly – I’ve had this in my stash for many years, and often reach for it – and top it with a matching flower.
Last of all, I added Stickles around the cheesecloth, and on all the flowers.
This is a quick and easy card, but could easily be stepped up by embossing the base, or using a foiled background or design paper.
That’s my card today. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed my creation!
So gorgeous. I love the wonderful flowers and the beautiful butterfly die used on it.
Thanks so much, Verna!
