Today it’s my turn to make a card for the Crafty Card Gallery Design Team challenge, which this month is Birthday.
I’m always on the lookout for something different, as you probably realise by now.
My friend Marcelle found a video on how to make your own background paper, and I can see how handy this technique will be.
Rather than try to explain it to you, I’ve posted the video that got both of us very excited!
Do have a try at this technique – it’s very easy and quite fun to do!
Stamps used on this card:
Background: Garden Seeds Packets from Inspired by Stamping. Butterfly was a giveaway in a magazine.
Greeting: Stamp-It (sorry, I can’t find the name of the set on the label.)
Everything else is from my stash.
Thanks for looking, and as always, if you want to comment, and the comment box isn’t showing, click the title of this post and it will magically appear!
Your background and hers are both beautiful! I love to make my own background paper. Thanks for the video too.
This is beautiful, Cheryl. Thanks for the link to the tutorial.
Blessing hugs,\
Teresa

Thanks Verna. I don’t normally go for bold colours, but decided to try it for this one.
Thanks Teresa! I like to include tutorials when I can – they help me, so are bound to help others.

Thanks Marcelle! I’m so glad you showed me this video!

Thanks so much, Karen! You may have noticed I don’t use bold colours a lot, but they fit perfectly on this card!
Thanks so much Mynnette!
Thanks Lisa!
Thanks Lindsay. I think making your own background makes it a bit more unique.
Thanks Vicki. I just followed the video for this layout. I hope to make more of these, using my own layouts.
